What's On My Face #1

I have been mixing up my make up a lot recently but these products tend to be getting the most use...

For foundation it has been a hard choice between Bourjois's Healthy Mix Serum and Bobbi Brown's Skin Foundation but I've been reaching for Bourjois more lately as when I am having longer days at work it tends to stay longer and have better coverage. Now that summer is over I'm moving away from the dewy skin look and adding a little hint of powder to my base. When routing through all of my make up I found one of my Mac Studio Fix powders and I have been dusting this over my face with the Real Techniques Powder Brush for a little extra coverage and to mattify the foundation.

Recently I have bought completely new products for my eyes and I am loving them all. Firstly, I have been using L'Oreal Paris's Color Riche Eyeshadow Primer which has been great at setting a nice light base for my eye shadows and helping them stay in place for longer. Then I have been choosing between Laura Mercier's Matte Eye Colour in 'Fresco' or Mac's Pro Longwear Paint Pot in 'Groundwork', they are both excellent shades with great staying power. I always find it hard to choose which one to wear as they are both absolutely lovely, I guess it's just down to the colours as Fresco is a very cool pinky shade and Groundwork is a great creamy warm brown. With just one simple eyeshadow base I have started to add a little eyeliner to help add something a little extra. Rather than heading straight to black like I usually do I decided to go for a brown kohl eyeliner which I have been loving recently. I'm using Rimmel's Soft Kohl Eye Liner Pencil in '011 Sable Brown' and that seems to have really brought out the blue in my eyes too. Then for a little extra brightening I use Rimmel's Scandaleye's in '005 Nude' along my waterline, this has been great in between shifts as it really helps me look a little bit more alive and less tired. For my eyes I also recently bought the Mac 217 Brush it has took me a while to eventually get it but I'm so pleased I did, it does such a great job and I can't wait to add more Mac eye shadow brushes to my collection.

On my lashes I have been using the same products for months. You know once you have found something that really works for you and then you end up scared of trying something else? ... Well that happened. I have been using a mini version of the Benefit They're Real mascara in black and I like to use that as a base to add a little bit of colour but mainly to comb through my lashes so that they separate nicely. After that I then go over with Channel's Le Volume De Chanel in '10 Noir' and like the name suggests this adds tonnes of volume to my lashes and makes them look a little bit more dramatic.

On the rest of my face I have been using a couple of old favourites. On my cheeks it has been Bourjois's Blush in  '95 Rose' which has a lovely subtle colour and shimmer. Then I have been adding a touch of Benefit's Hoola Bronzer on my cheekbones for a little definition.

Finally, I have been adding a little colour to my lips thanks to Bobbi Brown's Lip Colour Lipstick in 'Pale Pink' which is my absolute favourite. To help it stay in place I've just been using the Bobbi Brown Crayon Contour in the same colour, I never used to be a lip liner fan but they really do help with staying power and getting your natural lip shape.

Usually I also do my eyebrows as well but at the moment I am growing them out so I can get them threaded again so I have just been combing them through with Collection's Clear Brow Mascara just to keep them looking slightly tamed.

What are your favourite products at the moment?
