Last weekend I attended the #BloggersSecretSanta14 event which was hosted by the lovely Hannah and Emma. The meet up was at the Nedd Ludd in Nottingham which is a lovely pub just around the corner from Market Square. I was quite nervous as I am new blogging and this was my first ever meet up but I sat with Karen who was lovely and welcoming. Once we were able to go upstairs to the private function room we were greeted with some tasty drinks and had the opportunity to have a quick chat with everyone and take a seat.

The first talk we had was from Ian who talked us through The Ultimate Fix and the Hello breath spray. The Ultimate Fix is a nail spray that claims to "fix and protect your enamel for days and days of dazzling chip-free shine", I can be quite careless when I have just painted my nails so I'm very excited to see if this works for me and this little 50ml bottle lasts for up to 12 manicures which sounds fab! Next we were shown the Hello breath sprays which are very natural products that come in 3 different flavours, I was very happy to get my hands on the Grapefruit mint as it is absolutely delicious and is very refreshing. They've also got the cutest packaging and they're perfect to throw in your handbag.

The next brand talk we had was about MERUMAYA from the lovely Lekha. MERUMAYA is a British brand that launched in 2012 and to be honest, I hadn't really of them but as soon as Lekha let us try out a few products, I fell in love. The Iconic Youth Serum is the product that I was most impressed with, I haven't tested this out properly but when I had a swatch on my hand it felt so luxurious and immediately brightened and smoothed my skin. I can't wait to try out my samples!

Thirdly, we had Suzie from Xenca talk to us about health and nutrition. She went into a lot of great detail about food and the effects on our health then allowed us to try the new Five a Day+ Powder. This product allows you to get all your essential nutrients from one small shot (mixing it with orange juice is delicious). I plan to try this product out fully so I can report back with a more informative review, keep an eye out for that.

The last speaker was Holly from Lush who had came in to talk to us about their products and ethics. After lots of interesting facts about the company we were then able to make our own bath products. I was able to make my own Cinders bath bomb, which is very cinnamon-y and has popping candy inside, that was a nice little treat for my visit home. We then got to pass around a few more products and have a look at all the new stuff they're getting in-store for Christmas.

After all that bath bomb fun we had been given our goody bags and our Secret Santa gifts, I couldn't believe how huge our goody bags were. Here's a little peak inside...

I had such an excellent day and I would just like to say another big thank you to Hannah and Emma for organising this event, all of the brands involved and to the lovely Kerry for my Secret Santa gifts.
